Traditional Khmer Architecture

1. Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda
This complex is a prime example of traditional Khmer architecture. The Royal Palace features ornate roofs and intricate carvings. The Silver Pagoda, named for its silver-tiled floor, houses numerous national treasures.

2. Wat Phnom
A significant religious site, Wat Phnom is a Buddhist temple with a history dating back to 1372. The temple is perched atop a small hill, offering a serene atmosphere with its traditional design.

3. National Museum of Cambodia

A large entertainment complex that includes casinos, hotels, and shopping centers. Its modern design contrasts sharply with the traditional and colonial buildings in the city.

3. Exchange Square Shopping Mall 
Another example of contemporary architecture, this mall showcases the city's growing urban development.

1. Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum 
Formerly a high school, this building was converted into a prison during the Khmer Rouge regime. It now serves as a museum, preserving the history and architecture from that period.
